Two Kinds of eCoddles
The eCoddle Classic holds e-devices up to 7 inches wide. It’s super-simple, no strings attached. It was originally called the eLumpp, so that tells you a lot. It’s a plump little cotton and buckwheat confection of magically complementary width, height, and weight, held into an interesting starting position by virtue of cleverly sewn corners, and with a mandate to do what you want it to. The eCoddle Versa is like a slightly heftier eCoddle Classic but it has ties and loops, so it lets you decide which corners get tied to which corners and how tightly or loosely, and it lets you convert from portrait to landscape mode. You can create a kind of couch — your e-reader could recline there or a couple of devices could hang out together, or larger devices such as tablets might move in. The eCoddle™ (patent pending) was invented by an editor named Gayla Groom, who became sensitive to many modern-day materials after being pesticide-poisoned. She searched far and wide for a non-toxic way to comfortably use her e-devices while she was working at her desk, or eating lunch, or reading in bed — but she couldn’t find anything. And so she started on the pathway to creation. A few months later, she was surrounded by eCoddles.

USER-FRIENDLY
An eCoddle is a pleasure to use. Basically, you grab it by a seam and plop it down and then put your device in the groove. A solid base and a protective lip form naturally.
If you want to adjust the position, you can give the eCoddle a nudge or two till it’s perfect. Using an eCoddle can reconnect you to your ancestral roots, when the things we used in our daily lives were closely connected with the physical world.
The eCoddle Versa lets you get even more creative, since it offers long twill-tape strings on the corners that you can tie to convert the eCoddle into vertical or horizontal configurations, along with four loops so you can play with dynamic tension as much as you want. The loops can be used with the twill tape strings to truss the eCoddle into the positions of your choice. Some people even use them for hanging their eCoddles, securing the device to the eCoddle with a piece of hemp twine perhaps.
